The best present that I ever received was probably my GPS. I am known amongst my family and friends as being the worst person when it comes to directions. I know this may not seem like a very exciting gift but it is definitely the most useful one that I have ever received and I don’t know what I would do without it. My grandma bought me this GPS for Christmas a few years ago after hearing countless stories of me getting lost in the most random places from my mother. Little do they know that I used it throughout high school to get to parties, boyfriend’s houses, etc. They’ll never know, hopefully. This is a really great thing to have but I still get lost a lot of the time. Sometimes the lady doesn’t tell me to merge fast enough and I end up missing my exit and that sucks. But, most of the time it gets the job done. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it keeps track of your high speed and low speed and my dad didn’t like that when he saw it. Now I make sure to hide it in my car and keep my doors locked. I can’t wait until summer when I get to drive my car again I miss it. Too bad I’ll be driving it back and forth to work. All work and no play. Every time I go on a road trip I am thankful to have this GPS because mapquest just wasn’t cutting it.
That is a great gift. I would be lost with out my phone GPS. Rumor has it Garmin has a new GPS coming out next fall. Guess it's marketed towards young women. Heard it's going to be called "The Kristen". Apparently it permanently stores all boyfriend and party addresses for convenience, but they can only be accessed by retinal scanner to avoid parental knowledge (smile).
ReplyDeleteI need a GPS very badly. I feel as though I still get lost driving around my hometown. My sense of direction is in every way terrible. That sounds like the perfect gift. I also cannot wait to drive this summer, to work and back. At least we'll make some money!
ReplyDeleteI am also very bad with directions. GPS has saved me so many times from getting lost in my own town.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand this blog, as my GPS was also one of my best gifts. I could get lost just going down the road (have before.)
ReplyDeleteI probably should have one because I always get lost.
