Blog 48: Nature

Something in nature that fascinates me is definitely rain and thunderstorms.  I actually like the rain a lot even though it makes me feel extremely unproductive and tired.  It seems to me like it has rained more this year than any other year that I can remember.  It really sucks walking to class in the rain and then having to sit there for an hour or so in soaking wet clothes.  So uncomfortable and cold.  On days when I don’t have anything to do and it’s raining outside I like to lay in my bed all day and sleep.  My favorite singer, Luke Bryan, actually has a song about how rain is good.  It’s called “Rain is a Good Thing.”  The chorus of this song is…..

“Rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey

Whiskey makes my baby feel a little frisky

Back roads are boggin' up, my buddies pile up in my truck

We hunt our honeys down, we take 'em into town

Rain is a good thing”

This song is so true.  Without rain we wouldn’t have food or green grass or flowers.  Even though it sucks walking in, I am very thankful that we have rain.  I just wish that we had better weather since spring quarter is almost over and we haven’t had very many nice days to lay out on the oval and do activities outside.
